Tankwa Lifestyle Farm Zoute Rivier is located in the Tankwa Karoo, just 11 km from the Tankwa Karoo National Park. The 1 600-hectare private game farm sits at the foot of the Koedoeberg Mountain. It’s surrounded by cliffs, dry riverbeds, and breathtaking mountain views. A truly off-grid escape in the heart of the Karoo.
Wildcamping.Each site offers complete privacy with spectacular mountain views and only the sounds of nature. Here you will find rest for your soul and body. Surround yourself with nature and quiet nights under the stars. As there are no facilities, guests must bring their own toilet and shower facilities. Everyone is responsible for taking all garbage with them when they leave.
Camping. For the more adventurous visitors, there are exclusive campsites located at the foot of the Koedoeberg Mountain and overlooking the Sandlaagte River. These campsites are widely spread apart. Each equipped with private ablution facilities, lighted by solar energy.
Glamping. Tankwa Lifestyle Farm makes it easy. Guests can unwind at a slower pace, surrounded by peaceful views and clean Karoo air. The farm features two fully equipped Tankwa tented camps. Each site sleeps up to four people and includes everything you need for a restful stay. It’s a relaxed, low effort getaway where families and friends can slow down and reconnect. Whether you’re sitting under the stars, enjoying a peaceful walk, or simply sharing quiet moments together, the setting makes it easy to unwind. At the same time, there’s enough space to breathe, reflect, and switch off from daily routines. In the end, it’s about being present with each other and with nature.

Things to Do on the Farm
Hiking and Mountain Biking Trails
You’re free to explore the many farm trails on foot or by mountain bike. Always keep an eye out for animals and snakes. Children may only hike or cycle if accompanied by an adult.
