Nestled in the peaceful Brits Bushveld, you'll find RotsinBos Bush Camp and Lodge, a private game farm with its own camping spots and accommodations. It's conveniently located less than an hour from Pretoria (Tshwane) and just an hour and a half from Johannesburg. This farm is home to a diverse range of wildlife and a wide variety of game and bird species. You can choose from 20 campsites, each with its own bathroom equipped with a shower, sink, and toilet. These campsites also have outdoor lights that turn on at night, a wash-up area, water, electricity, a trash bin, and a grill. These campsites are set amidst marula trees, native brush, and a backdrop of impressive rock formations.
If you prefer to be closer to the swimming pool, there are also 12 campsites with shared bathrooms. These spots come with electricity, a tap, and a grill.
We also have a total of 3 Off-grid campsites, namely D1, D2 and D3.
Additionally, if you want to make your camping experience even better, you can rent a wood-fired hot tub for your campsite at RotsinBos.
In summary, come and enjoy exclusive camping and accommodations at this family-owned farm, which is just 23km from Brits! Small pets are allowed, however, notification and prior approval is required by management.

What does your Reier Timber Chalet offer?
The Reier Timber Chalet sleeps 2 – 4 guests
This Timber Chalet is uniquely set between trees and built into a granite boulder. It is furnished with one queen-sized bed, double bunk-beds (for children), built-in cupboards, an aircon, a fully equipped kitchenette, fridge / freezer, microwave, gas hob, and en-suite bathroom. You can also enjoy the exquisite open air outdoor shower for those hot summer months and a modern indoor shower for those cooler winter months.
What does the Patrys Tent offer?
The Patrys Tent sleeps 2 – 3 guests.
This tent is a large stand alone tent set onto granite boulders, providing guests with a beautiful sunset view. It is furnished with one queen-sized bed, one single bed (for children), en-suite bathroom, bedside lamps, electricity points, coffee station, fridge / freezer, and allocated cupboard space. *Only the Patrys and Fisant tent accommodations will have access to the communal kitchen. All lodge residents will have access to the boma area and viewing deck.
What does Fisant Tent offer?
Fisant Tent sleeps 2 – 3 guests. This tent is a large stand alone tent with its own separate private ablution in close proximity and set discretely between trees near the boma. It is furnished with one queen-sized bed, one single bed (for children), bedside lamps, electricity points, coffee station, fridge / freezer, and allocated cupboard space. *Only the Patrys and Fisant tent accommodations will have access to the communal kitchen. All lodge residents will have access to the boma area and viewing deck.
What do the Rotsvy and Suurpruim Bush Chalets offer?
The Rotsvy bush chalet is furnished with two single beds, best suited for friends enjoying a vacation together or for colleagues bunking together during a work function getaway. Sleeps 2.
The Suupruim bush chalet is furnished with one queen-sized bed, and is best suited to couples wanting a romantic getaway.
Both the Rotsvy and Suupruim bush chalets are also furnished with bedside lamps, a ceiling fan, electricity points, fully equipped kitchenette, fridge / freezer, microwave, gas hob, as well as a separate, spacious, and private ablution with shower, toilet and basin (in close proximity).
What do the Dikbas and Raasblaas Bush Chalets offer?
Dikbas and Raasblaar sleeps 4 guests.
2 x Family Units named Dikbas and Raasblaar (each with 2 interleading rooms), one for adults and the other for children or 2 single individuals. Furnished with a queen size bed and two single beds, bedside tables & lamps, ceiling fans & electricity points. Enjoy your on-suite fully equipped kitchenette with fridge/freezer, microwave, gas hob as well as a separate spacious, private ablution with shower, toilet and basin (in close proximity).
Can I rent a Bush Caravan from you?
Rent a Bush Caravan (Glamping). The caravan sleeps 4 people. Camp in style with your family or friends without the hastle. Rent our 4-sleeper fully equipped and already set up for you, on one of our stunning bush campsites.
Arrive, Camp, Enjoy & Depart.
Included: setup and break down of unit, camping fee, linen, pillows, lights & a kitchenette with a fridge-freezer.
Bring your food, clothes, bath- and swim towels, chairs and bicycles.
Pro’s: You only rent the caravan for the duration of your stay. No additional rental is payable for the “collection” and “delivery” days. so you save 2 days on the entire rental period.

What do the OFF GRID campsites offer?
We have a total of 3 OFF GRID campsites, namely D1, D2 and D3.
Be spoiled with an amazing ablution built into rocks with donkey for hot water, washup facility, braai with grid. Lekker shade, lots of trees and book a hot tub at additional cost. You only need your own electricity for this site. Hear hippos at night, fisheagle during the day. The Campsite is booked out as a whole, suitable for 2 offroad caravans (8pax / 2 vehicles)
What do your Shared Ablution Campsites offer?
4 (max 6) People & 1 vehicle per campsite
These campsites share ablutions on a ratio of 3 stands per ablution block, consisting of a spacious hot shower, basin, and separate toilet. Camps are equipped with outside lighting on a day/night sensor, water- and electricity point, bin, plus braai stand with grid. Campers have access to open-air, shared wash-up facilities too. Camps are located between marula trees and indigenous brush.

What do your Private Ablution Campsites offer?
4 (max 6) People & 1 vehicle per campsite
Each campsite has its own ablution with shower, basin, and separate toilet. Camps are equipped with outside lighting on a day/night sensor, a wash-up area, water, electricity point, bin, and braai stand with grid. Camps are located between marula trees, indigenous brush, and a huge rock boulder backdrop. We are also excited about our new one of a kind open air rock ablution, located at A10.

If you’re looking for a serene and well-managed camping experience, Rotsinbos is an excellent choice. Nestled in a picturesque location, this campsite stands out for its top-notch facilities and the warm hospitality provided by the owners, Mike and Dawn.
From the moment we arrived, Mike and Dawn made us feel right at home. Their communication was exceptional; they were quick to respond to our inquiries and provided detailed information about the Rotsinbos and what it has to offer. Their friendliness and enthusiasm were evident in every interaction, making our stay even more enjoyable.
The campsite itself is a gem. The layout is thoughtfully designed to ensure privacy and comfort. Each camping spot is well-spaced, providing a sense of seclusion while still being close enough to the amenities. The private ablution facilities are a highlight—clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The off grid offering is also worth a look at and will be top of my list when we visit again.
Overall, Rotsinbos offers a blend of natural beauty and excellent service. With Mike and Dawn’s dedication to providing a memorable camping experience, this spot is a must-visit for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat.

Met aankoms slag kon jy al sien dit gaan lekker wees. Die ablusies is baie mooi skoon en netjies ons het die privaat ablusie baie geniet. Die staanplekke is baie mooi skoon met baie koelte, netjies en groot. Die rustige natuurlewe wat om jou is laat jou ontspan. Ons vier voetige kind (worshondjie) het dit amper meer geniet. Moet nie vergeet om van die sonsak uitkykpunt gebruik te maak nie.

Wat ‘n fantastiese ondervinding. Vandat ons bespreek het was die diens hands on, vriendelik en akkommoderend. Dit is ‘n klein juweel in die bosveld. Die massage is ‘n luuksheid wat jy moet beleef. Dit was ons eerste maar gewis nie die laaste besoek aan jul plekkie nie.
