Ou Skool Guesthouse
Description
Ou Skool Guesthouse used to be an old school that closed down in the early 1970s due to a lack of money. The owner, Ilse-Marie Rossouw, thought it would be a great place for a fancy guest house, events venue, and camping site. It's also a stop for travelers on the R27 or those visiting the Keimoes/Upington area.
The guest house is in the middle of vineyards. Each campsite has its own private bathroom with a shower and bathtub, and a designated area for grilling. Guests can use the restaurant and an "honesty bar" for drinks.
The campsite at Ou Skool Guesthouse has excellent camping facilities, including great bathrooms, laundry, and individual water and electricity for each site. The campsites are big and suitable for large caravans or tents, and they're surrounded by vineyards, close to the main guest house.
The property has lots of fun stuff for kids and plenty of safe play areas. If you want to visit the coffee shop or bar, they're just a short walk from the campsite.
