Noukrans
Description
Noukrans is situated on the Goedehoop Farm, approximately 20km from Heidelberg. Our dream is to share our piece of "heaven on earth" with other nature lovers. Bring your own tent or caravan and choose your pitch among hundreds of oak trees (the oldest of which were planted in the 1920s). All the sites have a beautiful view! There are shared ablution facilities for approximately 10 sites (we control the number of guests staying here at one time.) Hot as well as cold water is available at the showers and washing up facilities. Furthermore, there is no electricity here - only solar panels used for lights. The water in the toilets and showers is clean (brown) river water. Fresh rain water is provided daily as drinking water.

Directions to Noukrans from Swellendam?
Drive along the N2 past Buffeljags BP petrol station, turn left at the Suurbraak/Barrydale exit. Drive through Suurbraak and follow the tar road until it becomes a dirt road. On the dirt road, drive 5.3 km (ignore the Heidelberg turnoff to the right), follow the Grootvadersbosch sign. After a further 1.4 km at a T junction, turn left. Drive 1.3 km to the fork in the road, keep right (Grootvadersbosch is to the left) and follow the Noukrans Boskamp signs.

From the N2, turn off at Wimpy/Engen and Caltex petrol stations. Drive along Eksteen street and continue straight across 3 STOP signs. At 4th STOP sign, turn left. There is a Barrydale sign. Continue straight on tar road over the railway track - 1.8 km after the dirt road started, turn right at the Goedehoop sign. Drive another 4.5 km to the fork in the road, keep right (Grootvadersbosch is to the left) and follow the Noukrans Boskamp signs.
