Leeupan Guest Farm

Leeupan Guest Farm offers authentic Kalahari camping near Van Zylsrus in the Northern Cape. Situated on a working farm just 24 km from Van Zylsrus, this rustic campsite is an excellent stopover for travellers heading towards the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.

Surrounded by red Kalahari dunes, wide-open spaces and clear African skies, Leeupan Guest Farm is suited to campers who enjoy peaceful surroundings and a genuine outdoor experience. The campsites are private and simple, giving guests plenty of space to relax around the campfire and enjoy the silence of the Kalahari.

Camping Facilities
Choose between two campsites, Springbok for couples and small families, or Gemsbok for larger groups travelling together.Tents are available for hire. In addition, guests can make use of the freezer and cold-room facilities at the main house.  After a day outdoors, the farm dams provide a refreshing place to cool off. For a hot shower, traditional donkey boilers supply hot water for the ablution facilities. In addition, the open-sky showers add a memorable touch to the Kalahari camping experience.

4×4 Trails, Wildlife and Bird Watching
Guests can experience the farm through 4×4 eco-trails, wildlife viewing and bird watching. The open Kalahari surroundings provide plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature at a relaxed pace.
After sunset, the lack of city lights makes Leeupan Guest Farm an excellent location for Kalahari stargazing. Spend the evening around the campfire and enjoy the spectacular night sky.
