Gouritsmond Caravan Park

The Gouritsmond Caravan Park is a well maintained private caravan park in the really small, quiet coastal town of Gouritsmond in the Hessequa area, Western Cape.

The Gouritsmond Caravan Park offers 100 grassed sites with electricity points, braai facilities as well as clean ablution blocks with hot and cold showers. The caravan park is close to the river mouth and seasonal blue flag beach where you can of course enjoy a range of activities related to water. Activities such as rubber ducking, boating, surfing as well as swimming and sunbathing. There is also a tidal pool which is extremely popular among holiday makers.

Fishing is of course an all time favourite and not a day will pass without seeing someone fishing from the rocks. Apart from fishing, there are also a number of hiking trails around the park and through the fynbos. Be on the lookout as well for the endangered Black Oyster Catcher as well as the Cape Plover. In fact, the whole area forms part of the Gourits Cluster Biosphere Reserve.
