Bring your walking shoes, books and swimming gear! There are walks and plenty of bird life to enjoy. We have a birding list of more than 100 of Mpumalanga’s 260 listed species for the keen bird watchers (you may even spot the Nerina Trogon and the Purple-crested Turaco). Nearby attractions include Sudwala Caves with the Dinosaur Park, Butterfly Effect Nature Garden and zipline. Goederus is a good base for visiting Nelspruit Botanical Gardens, Sabie and Graskop with all the waterfalls and attractions. As well as Kaapschehoop and the Barberton geological area. It is also an ideal halfway stopover on your way to the Kruger National Park or Mozambique.
