Award-winning Gariep, A Forever Resort is the perfect stopover between Gauteng and the Cape, 180 km South of Bloemfontein, just off the N1. The Gariep Dam is the largest dam in South Africa, bordering three provinces namely Free State, Northern Cape and Eastern Cape. Gariep's 106 Caravan and Camping Sites all have powered points and are serviced by two neat Ablution Facilities. 16 private Sites boast its own Ablution Facilities. Max 8 Persons per site. Rates are per night.

We regret that no pre-allocation of Site numbers can be done - all Stands are allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Do you offer long stay camping rates?

Yes, we do. Maximum 2 pensioners, minimum 30 days, excluding peak season.

May day visitors visit the resort?

2-Sleeper Chalet. Open-plan (1 double bed). Gariep open-plan harbour view chalet with a double bed, bathroom with bath and separate shower. Lounge with flat screen TV and a selection of 14 DSTV channels, fully equipped Kitchen, with microwave, toaster, countertop stove, own built in braai on closed patio area and undercover parking for one vehicle. Maximum 2 Persons.

4-Sleeper Chalet. 2 bedrooms (1 double bed & 2 single beds). Gariep harbour view chalet with two bedrooms, one with a double bed and full en-suite bathroom. The other room with two single beds and a separate bathroom with shower. Lounge with flat screen TV and a selection of 14 DSTV channels, fully equipped Kitchen, with microwave, toaster, countertop stove, own built in braai on closed patio area and undercover parking for one vehicle. Maximum 4 Persons.

5-Sleeper Chalet. 2 bedrooms (1 double bed & 3 single beds). Self-catering Chalet, two Bedrooms, one with a Double Bed and one with three Single Beds.
