Description
The Breede Escape river camp is situated on a farm 15km outside Bonnievale, on the banks of the Breede River. The facility offers camping and accommodation in a thatched HutCamp. Guests enjoy a close-to-nature experience and "Life at the River "!
Come spend some time in a relaxed, safe and beautiful setting with friends, family or colleagues and appreciate life again! Breede Escape is centrally situated between the Overberg, Langeberg Meander and the Robertson Wine Valley with various scenic routes with exciting things to do.
Please note that Breede Escape do not take bookings for bachelors, youth groups, day visitors or nudist groups. We have a strict no music policy.
We are pet friendly, but do not allow Pitbulls or Pitbull cross breeds on the farm. If you bring your dog along, please keep your furry friend leashed at all times when outside your fenced area where you camp or stay. If you do want to bring a dog with, please make arrangements with us before you come.

Take N1 from Cape Town, through Worcester and Robertson to Bonnievale.
How many people can this campsite accommodate?
We have a private campground for groups of up to 30, as well as smaller sites for 1 - 10 guests each.
What does The Privatecamp offer?
This campground can only be booked by one group at a time. If is ideal for a group of 10 or more. It can fit maximum 10 camping trailers or caravans ( or maximum 30 guests if tents with ). Although pre schoolers stay free of charge they are still part of the count. Please respect the numbers for the sake of the facilities and your own comfort. A spacious thatched roofed area will be available for your exclusive use. Indoor braai, kitchen work space and washing up facilities. Inside the kitchen, a freezer only, microwave, induction plate with pot and electrical kettle. Campfire spot on the bank of the river. Private use of jetty and two kayaks inside the campground. Fenced and pet friendly.
What does the HutCamp offer?
The HutCamp(thatched glamping, not luxury ), accommodates a Max 2 adults or 3 families. The camp is right on the river bank with lawned areas around the camp, but apricot pips between the huts – come enjoy the open spaces and shady areas with old trees. There is a jetty as well as two kayaks that are shared with other camping guests at single stands. Campers enjoy the campfire spot for your private use next to the lapa kitchen area. The thatched lapa kitchen area has an indoor braai. Cutlery, crockery, glasses, potjie pots, braai grids, braai utensils, dishwash and dishcloths are supplied. Guests have their own enclosed kitchen / lounge area with your own bathroom. The kitchen has a freezer, fridge, electrical kettle, induction plate with pot and microwave. Hot water and electricity. One bathroom with bath, 2 showers, 3 hand basins, 1 toilet, each hut with own toilet as well. Six thatched huts each for 2 adults or one family, 1 toilet and small hand basin inside the hut. DSTV premium optional extra (please book in advance). Wood and ice available at an extra cost. Bedding for double beds can be booked at an extra cost. There is no Wi-fi, but we do have cell phone reception. The area is fenced. Pet friendly, we just need to know what breeds and numbers please.
What do the single campsites offer?
Private ablution, electricity, veranda to sit under with braai, small firepit. Access to the river. Two seeter kayak.
