Description

Biedouw Valley Wegbreek is more than just a campsite, it is a retreat into simplicity, peace, and nature at its most breathtaking. Just beyond the Pakhuis Pass near Clanwilliam, the valley opens up like a secret waiting to be discovered, framed by dramatic mountains and painted with wildflowers after the first rains. The campsite is set deep in the heart of the Cederberge. Our campsite offers 15 spacious sites, each designed for up to six campers. With communal ablution blocks, a shared kitchen, and the option of simple power connections, we’ve kept things flexible, uncomplicated, and true to the valley’s spirit.

The campsite is nestled along the Biedouw River. Here, days stretch wide with possibilities: hiking along trails that reveal waterfalls, potholes, and rock formations; plunging into cool rock pools; stargazing under unpolluted skies; or simply sitting back with a book while birdsong fills the air. And when late winter gives way to spring, the valley transforms into one of the world’s most extraordinary natural wonders with an endless carpet of color as the wildflowers bloom. Whether you’re here to explore, to rest, or to soak in the beauty of flower season, Biedouw Valley Wegbreek offers the kind of back-to-nature experience that stays with you long after you’ve left.

What is your pet policy?

Yes, pets are welcome! We just ask that you let us know in advance — it’s not a “show up with your pet” situation. This allows us to allocate the most suitable, pet-friendly accommodation, prepare for your pet’s arrival, and ensure there aren’t too many pets on-site at one time.  There is no extra charge for dogs and you can bring up to 2 dogs per room.

We are open to other pets too, but please confirm in advance as arrangements will depend on the type of pet.

Please note that dogs must not be aggressive, and owners must clean up pet waste immediately.

Please maintain hygiene and prevent damage, pets are not allowed on furniture or beds.

We have a relaxed, farm-like environment, so dogs do not need to be kenneled in rooms or public areas.
