HOW ARE BEESWAX WRAPS MADE?
Moekies Bees Wax Wraps offers two versions: an eco-friendly option made with 100% cotton coated with Karoo beeswax, organic coconut oil, and pine/tree resin, and an alternative version made with a cotton blend coated with the same ingredients. Coating fabric with beeswax has benefits such as being eco-friendly, antibacterial, waterproof, durable, and breathable. Beeswax is a natural and renewable material that does not contain harmful chemicals, making it a more sustainable choice for waterproof coatings.
HOW TO CLEAN THE BEESWAX WRAPS
To care for your beeswax wraps, handwash them in cold water with mild soap, use a sponge for stubborn spots, and air dry out of direct sunlight. Store them at room temperature in a dust-free environment, either rolled up in a drawer or in a glass jar for display. Be cautious of heat, avoid harmful chemicals and abrasion, and do not use with raw meat. Do not put them in the dishwasher, microwave, or oven, and do not cover hot dishes with them. They do not stick to wet surfaces. To sterilize, iron between wax paper, and to repair, iron or melt in the oven. With proper care, they should last 9-12 months. Remember to show them some love to prolong their lifespan.
