Verhit die konfyt, sjerrie, heuning, sojasous en gemmer in \u2018n kastrol. Roer aanhoudend tot die mengsel borrel en haal van stoof af. Los die hoenderekstrak op in \u00bd koppie kookwater en gooi in \u2018n vuurvaste bakskottel met \u2018n deksel. Plaas hoender daarin met rug na bo en verf die konfytmengsel bo-oor. Bak 30 minute teen 180\u00b0C (as jy bang is dat dit brand, hou die deksel vir die eerste 30 minute op). Draai hoender om, smeer met die mengsel onder in die skottel en bak nog 45 minute of tot gaar.<\/p>\n<p>Haal hoender uit skottel, plaas op \u2018n opdienbord en hou warm. Skep 3 e van die mengsel in die skottel en los die mielieblom daarin op. Gooi terug in die skottel saam met die suurlemoensap en \u2018n bietjie water indien nodig. Roer oor hitte tot dik en borrelend.
