Description

Tussen-I-Bome Guest Farm is a quaint ox-wagon resort and venue located 30 minutes or 26km from Montana, Pretoria on the KwaMahlango/Moloto road. Nestled in the malaria free Bobbejaansberg Mountains, we have a lovely Caravan & Camping area with water and electricity outlets at each of the 10 stands. Our ablution facilities are always clean with hot water. The washing-up area is also located close to the stands.

Directions to Tussen i Bome Guest Farm?

Take the N1 North from Johannesburg / N1 South from Polokwane. Turn off at the Zambezi Toll and off ramp and turn East towards Cullinan. Turn left on the R 573 KwaMahlango /Moloto road The first major Robot inter section. Keep driving for +/- 26 km, turn left on the Hammanskraal dirt road. We are located on the left side of the road.

What do the ox wagons offer?

Three authentic Ox-Wagon Camps scattered amongst the trees provide unique overnight experiences. The main bedroom is located inside an ox-wagon, double bed with 2 single beds in an additional side tent. Sleeping 4 guests per ox-wagon camp. (One ox-wagon camp have 2 tents, thus sleeps 6). Each camp has bathroom facilities, an equipped kitchenette and a wonderful enclosed boma. Just as in the old days – now equipped with 12V lights. The open fire, lanterns, lamps and candles give a wonderful warm glow at nigh t. A gas geyser warms your bath water. Relaxing around the fire and listening to a jackal howling, or a nightjar calling is priceless! The three ox-wagon camps consist of a 4-horse wagon built in 1937, a trolley wagon built in 1915 and a spring wagon built in 1860. Included: Linen, Bedding, cutlery and braai tools.

What does the Guesthouse offer?

We have a graded Self Catering Guesthouse which features three spacious en-suite bedrooms. Two rooms on the first floor and one on the ground floor. One of the two upstairs bedrooms has an annex with a two single beds where children can sleep safely next to their parent's room. The Guest House has a lounge, a spacious dining room, fully equipped kitchen and a large veranda with its own magic. There is a brazier for log fires where late night stories can be swapped and a separate braai to do the steaks. The guest house can sleep up to 8 guests. What does the Bush Lapa offer?

The Bush Lapa is a brick, wood and canvas thatch structure – a real “Hunters’ den”. It has three bedrooms with double beds. With 2 showers, 2 toilets, 2 wash basins it can sleep up to 6 guests. The living room can accommodate extra beds to stretch the sleep over capacity. It has a fully equipped kitchen. The braai boma is spacious, and must be seen to be appreciated. What does the Luxury Chalet offer?

Our luxury Chalet with two double bedrooms leading onto the garden and two loft rooms can accommodate 8-10 people on single & double beds. The open plan kitchen and dining area blend onto the lawn under the trees. Game can be viewed from your arm chair if you are lucky. It also has a great boma to relax next to a crackling fire. Included: Linen, Bedding, cutlery and braai utensils
