Op die Plaas Camp is situated on a beautiful working farm named Sandrivier. The camp is surrounded by the Klein Swartberg Mountain on 1 side and the Elandsberg on the other. The farm is also located 7 km from the famous Seweweekspoort. This allows guests a breathtaking drive through unspoilt nature, over more than 20 river crossings and on a well-maintained gravel road. The campsites are all situated near a dam with nice grassy spots and lovely large gum trees. There is no electricity in the campsite and warm water is generated by gas geysers. The communal ablution block has separate ladies and gents facilities. Both fitted with showers, toilets and basins. There is no electricity in the campsite, and warm water is generated by a donkey. Guests need to bring their own gas equipment. A swimming pool is available as well as a venue with a gas stove and oven, solar power for fridge, freezer and inside braais.

From N1 Laingsburg, drive out of town on R323 to Calitzdorp for 65km to the farm Sandrivier. Turn left and drive another 1.5km to Hoofhuis.
From R62 between Ladismith and Calitzdorp, turn off at the Seweweekspoort sign, drive through Poort and keep left towards Laingsburg for another 8km to the Sandrivier/Zandrivier sign. Turn right there and drive another 1.5km to Hoofhuis.
Freindly and sociable dogs are allowed. The must be peaceful and not yappy dogs. Advise upon booking what pet you are bringing.
