Palm Tree Lodge is situated in the northernmost part of the St. Lucia Wetlands, right next to the Green belt of the Maputuland coastline. While private resorts aren't allowed within the National Parks, this charming holiday destination is conveniently located near the main gate of the regional Parks Board offices. This makes it easy to obtain all the necessary permits and also serves as a base camp for launching boats onto the lakes and the sea, particularly in Ponto Du Oure, commonly known as "Ponta."
